This media review-critique assignment (Minimum 1500 words) is worth 12% of your final mark and involves the following:

  1. Read the article(s) provided to you in Blackboard. You must use the articles provided by me to complete this assignment. You may use other articles as well and they must be referenced.
  2. Write a summary of what you found interesting from the article(s) with in-text citations (4 citations – 2 from each article) of the article and provide your opinion on what you believe Canada should do in this international relations issue. Please do not summarize what is in the articles for me, but rather what you found interesting.
  3. Apply an Economic theory(s) studied in the course and relate to the article(s). (Mercantilism, Economic Liberalism, Marxism)
  4. Apply what direction you believe Canada should take and how this could have a direct impact or effect on your personal life
  5. Develop a one or two sentence debate statement related to the topic. Pretend you were trying to get a family member or friend to believe in your opinion. Sell your opinion.
  6. Organization and Mechanics. Is the summary organized, pages numbered, reference page, grammar, title page, proper APA form.
