Overview

Your consulting company, “PayPoint Solution”, has been hired to create a comprehensive compensation package for Nabula H&W Inc., a manufacturing company producing health and wellness products. Nabula H&W Inc. has been in business for the past 3 years and operates successfully in Waterloo. The company employs 50 individuals across various departments: 2 executive leaders, 2 production managers, 3 employees in R&D, 4 in marketing, 5 in finance, 2 in HR, 2 in IT, 4 in supply chain and logistics, 2 in customer service, 2 in quality control, and the remainder in warehouse and inventory roles.

The company’s product life cycles are short due to volatile demand, rapid changes in customer needs, fierce competition, and an unpredictable regulatory environment. Given the complexity of its technologies and the multitude of factors influencing success, Nabula H&W Inc., adopts a Prospector’s strategy, often introducing new products as competitors enter the market. Additionally, the company’s technology necessitates addressing wellness products individually based on client feedback, providing custom solutions to wellness issues.

Directions

Your assignment is to design a comprehensive compensation package for Nabula H&W Inc. Through research, analysis, and application of compensation’s three main components, your goal is to enhance employee motivation, retention, and organizational performance by:

  • Determining a management strategy and suggesting an effective compensation package.
  • Analyzing how each key component of compensation strategically aligns with Nabula H&W Inc.’s goals and values while defining these components.
  • Exploring legal and ethical considerations in designing compensation packages, ensuring compliance with labor laws and fairness principles.
