Create a Leadership Development Plan

Objective: The objective of this assignment is to help you create a leadership development plan that outlines steps and strategies to enhance your individual leadership skills. You will develop goals and an action plan to help you identify strengths and areas that need improvement to help you become a better leader.

Instructions:

1. Assessing:
   • Describe your strengths and potential areas of improvement as it relates to leadership. Refer back to the first leadership assessment assignment in this course as well as your weekly reflection summaries and in general the contents and things you have been learning in this course and the program as a whole.
   • You need to be citing and referencing course materials to back up points and connect your reflection to what you have been learning in the course
2. Setting Goals:
   1. Develop three specific SMART goals (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound). Use your knowledge of writing SMART goals from HLTH 428 and ensure that the goals cover all required components.
3. Create an Action Plan:
   • You now need to identify resources and activities that will help you start to achieve your SMART goals. This can include attending workshops or training courses, seeking mentorship or coaching from experiences leaders in your industry, using online sources, etc.
   • The key is to be specific. i.e. don’t just say that you will take a course. Identify what course, who offers it, when you can take it, where you can take it, etc. The more detailed and specific you are with the plan the more likely you are to achieve it.
4. Self-Reflection:
   • Overall, what have you learned about yourself from this exercise?

• Use the headings from above and point form to summarize your ideas in each area.
• You need to be discussing you and what you learned and citing/referencing to APA standards to tie your thoughts to the course materials.
• You are required to cite and reference the materials from the course shell only.
• This assignment is due by 11:59pm on the Saturday of the assignment week and must he submitted
