Finding the Site of a Deserted Medieval Village in the North of England
For this assignment, you are required to write an essay on a topic based on your degree programme.
If you are studying BA Heritage and Archaeology or BSc Archaeology, please write an essay addressing the topic:
- “As an archaeologist, you are charged with the task of finding the site of a Deserted Medieval Village in the north of England”
If you are studying BSc Forensic Archaeology and Anthropology, please write an essay addressing the topic:
- “As a forensic archaeologist, you are charged with the task of finding the site of a mass grave dating to between 1939 and 1945 in central Europe.”
You will note that this is the same question as originally set. This means that you can directly use previous feedback to help you improve your submission.
However, as this is a supplementary assignment – i.e. you are likely taking this at 2nd attempt – your mark will be capped to a maximum of 40% on the module. This is in accordance with University of Bradford regulations regarding supplementary assignment.

You have 2000 words to answer the question. This does not include your reference list.
